1. How do you make the background to a webpage show through the Flash movie?
Answering your question, the background to a webpage can be shown if the Transparent option is selected when creating a design using FlaPops Version 2. You can change this on one of the very first items on the second page of the details in Version 2.
Note that some designs have colors that cover the entire design so that the background won't show through.

2. FrontPage Banners: Can Flash4D be used to make small to medium banners or boxes on a web page?
Flash4D can create intros, presentations, and banners or such for use in FrontPage or any other webpage based application. Flash4D does create an Intro Page automatically, for use with websites, but if you would like to use a Flash4D Flash movie in a banner or box, simply select a theme in Flash4D, customize it, and set the width and height of the size on the Customize menu to the size you would like for your banner or action box. T
hen in your web page editing software, simply call in the Flash (.swf) intro file into your message box. Consider checking your web page editor's help documentation for "how to add Flash." Try out the Trial of Flash4D available here
download trial here and test a design with your banner or boxes to see if everything will work great for you.
Don't forget to change the size of the designs on the Customize panel to match your boxes though, if not, the design may appear too big for your box.
3. How do I speed up a flash or make it play faster?
To speed up the flash movie in Flash4D v4 try using the Text Timing feature to adjust how long the text will show. If you make the timing for the text messages short, the movie will be completed faster. In other words it will "speed up".
Quick Instructions:

1. In the customization window under a text item other than the Loading Message, click the grey Text Options button.
2. Look down for the Text Timing feature. Drag the blue-purple box to the left to shorten the time length that text message is shown.
3. Repeat this process for each Text item.
Note: The Text Timing feature is unavailable for the Loading Message.

Detailed Information:
To access the Text Timing feature you will have to be in the Customize window.
Select a design to customize to get to the Customize window. Then you can click the 'Next >>' button to customize the text, or click the Text item from the menu on the left. You can skip the Loading Message by clicking the 'Next >>' button and move on to the Text 1.
When you're at Text 1, click the grey Text Options button (as seen in the attached image) that is located near the top left corner of the Customize window.
After clicking that, you will see the Text Timing option and other options appear. The Text Timing is located at the bottom of the first selection of options.
Instructions to use Text Timing feature:
To use the text timing feature simply click the blue square that is on the horizontal dotted line next to the words Text Timing and drag it to the left to have the Text message show for less time. Clicking and dragging to the right will have the text message show for more time.
After you have shortened the time by dragging the blue square to the left (the seconds count to the right drops down) you can repeat this process for each text item. Just click 'Next >>' to get to the next text item, then repeat the process of shortening the time each message shows.
By the way, if you haven't downloaded Flash4D yet, you can download a trial of Flash4D from this link:

4. Is there a way to make a design play over and over in Flash4D?
Flash4D actually also has an Auto-Replay option where it does just what you say, play over and over.
You can find the Auto-Replay option in the same 'Replay Button' section of Flash4D (it's a feature rather than a button though -- just listed in the same area) and this feature is available in both Home and Professional versions. Try the trial of Flash4D and select the Auto-Replay feature when your editing your design. You can get the trial online at:

5. What are some creative applications of Flash4D designs?
When using the intros, think creatively in that they don't only have to be intros ... you can also have them as animated areas in webpages. E.g. on the first screen of the Customization window, shrink the size of the designs down to a small (300 x 300 pixel sort of size) and use this on the side of a webpage for things such as testimonials (you can automatically replay [a Flash4D feature] the testimonials) or for things such as benefits of service. Think creatively how Flash4D designs can be used to sell new creative parts of websites. :)
6. How do I set Internet Explorer or another webpage viewing program to open webpages instead of Notepad or another program?
First, you will need to select a .html document. If you run Flash4D, create an intro, and then press the BUILD button. Then go to your desktop and look for a folder called 'flashintrofolder' -- open this and then select the file in there called index.html ... right click on this file, and select "Open With >" then "Choose Program..".
After that, a window will popup (for Windows XP). Select from the Recommended Programs list: "Internet Explorer" then check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". Last, click OK and then your settings will be changed and the file icon should look like the index.html icon below, it is a blue 'e' with a document sort of look. Then if you run Flash4D it should launch the webpage after you click BUILD in a browser window instead of NotePad.
7. How do I add keywords to my intro?
I believe there isn't a feature in Flash4D for adding Keywords, although
this can easily be done to the webpage afterwards by adding this HTML tag to
the index.html page right before the html tag that is automatically
created to show your intro:
<meta name="keywords" content="Your, Keywords, Here">
You can easily edit the index.html webpage that shows your intro by viewing
it in Internet Explorer and then clicking View from the File Menu and select
Source... then look for the html tag and add the keyword code
above and close and save the file.
