1. Images do not show up when I preview the Flash, what can I do to have them show?
Flash can only support non-progressive j-peg images, so non-progressive is what you want jpeg images to be saved as.
Most jpeg images are saved as non progressive unless specified to be saved otherwise (with the major graphics editor Photoshop).
If you load up a jpeg image into your intro, if it doesn't play and it truly is a jpeg (e.g. you didn't rename a .gif to a .jpeg) then resave the image as a non-progressive image.
If you can edit the images you have and save them as non-progressive images then use them, then everything will work. Look for this option of saving as a j-peg without the progressive feature on the save screen of your graphics editor software.
If you don't know how to save them non-progressive, please see the help file of your graphics editor (search for the word "progressive" or "save progressvie")
2. Does Flash4D support Greek, Russian or cyrllic text?
Although, I am not sure, but it may be possible with a Greek, Russian, or cyrllic font to use Flash4D
http://www.introwizard.com/flash4d/ to create a Flash intro. The text typed into Flash4D may be unreadable although the created intro may be okay.
This has not been tested by IntroWizard though.
I would suggest downloading a trial of Flash4D
http://www.introwizard.com/downloads/flash4d.php and using a Greek or Russian font (select the Use Your Own Font button under the 3rd Text Options page [click More Text Options button 2 times]) in the text message area.
3. I would like to sell intros created with Flash4D, are there any copyrights that I should note?
The Flash4D intros designs played without music can be sold as many times as you wish, just watch the copyrights on any images you may use.
The included Flash4D music is licensed out by Q-Music.co.uk which allows the music to be used in one project for your clients free of charge. Otherwise, you can follow the instructions in Flash4D for purchasing the music from
www.q-music.co.uk you would like to use. (Look on the right side after building an intro, you'll see a box with information pertaining to this.)
By the way, when using the intros, think creatively in that they don't only have to be intros ... you can also have them as animated areas in webpages. E.g. on the first screen of the Customization window, shrink the size of the designs down to a small (300 x 300 pixel sort of size) and use this on the side of a webpage for things such as testimonials (you can automatically replay [a Flash4D feature] the testimonials) or for things such as benefits of service. Think creatively how Flash4D designs can be used to sell new creative parts of websites. :)
4. How does your software work with selling products with Paypal?
IntroWizard features software like CreationWeb, a website builder. (See:
http://www.introwizard.com/creationweb/ ) You could feature your products on your own business website created with CreationWeb Business or Studio Editions.
Or with Flash4D, you can create a Flash intro to a website. (See:
http://www.introwizard.com/flash4d/ )You could even create a Flash intro for one of your products and have the Enter button to the Flash intro go to the Paypal purchase link.
Consider checking out the two links provided above for more information about either software.
5. How do I link the Skip intro to my webpage?
To link the 'Skip Intro' to your URL in the Customization window, select the Enter Button area on the left, then click the 'Enter Button' buttons.
Then, click the 'Next' button and you will be see a screen where you have the 'Web Page After Design' item which is where you can enter in your url.
6. Troubleshooting A Problem: Can't hear any music after I created an intro.
Causes:Possible causes to the problem of not hearing the music could be one of the following:
- The computer speakers are not on, or not responding.
- The No Music button has been selected from the Customization window.
- The Mute button has been selected in the intro. In this case, the button should have changed to the word Play?.
Solutions:
Current available solutions include making sure the speakers on the computer are on. If so, then assuring that a Music item has been selected to play, and that the
No Music button has not been pressed as to remove the currently selected music item and replace it with no music.
7. Can an .avi or .mpeg be used in a Flash intro with Flash4D?
An .avi or .mpeg should be converted to a Flash movie SWF before being able to use it in a Flash4D intro.
You can convert an .avi or .mpeg to a Flash movie using software like Flix
http://flix.on2.com/flix/flix_lite.php
After converting your .avi or .mpeg into a Flash movie, you can use the Import Custom SWF feature to show the movie over the Flash intro for the entire Flash intro. This item is in the Extra Features section of the Customize window which isn't the same as the Import Design button on the design window.
The Import Custom SWF feature is available in the Extra Features section when you're customizing. You can download a trial of Flash4D to see this feature if you haven't already from
http://www.IntroWizard.com/downloads/flash4d.php
8. If I am unsure about a feature, how do I reach support information for the feature?
If you ever have a question about a feature in Flash4D, look for a nearby small blue circle with a white question mark (?) in it. Click this little help button to reach a Help topic related to the feature. Hopefully this may help you out with anything you may have questions about.
9. How do you get a Flash intro to play automatically when you click on the url?
It is actually really quite easy to get Flash4D to play when you click on the URL.
In fact a Flash4D intro will start loading automatically and play automatically when done loading when you click on the URL of the intro page.
All you simple need to do is get the intro on your website by uploading it in your preferred way whether it be an ftp program or any other method, simply put the needed files on your website and then you're done.
10. Can I create tutorials and use voice instructions with each text and image area?
Yes.
The Extra Detailed Design program included with Flash4D incorporates individual text sounds (under the text options button and then under the more text options button) along with custom images, so you can create your own tutorials with voice instructions, text to match it, and an image of what you are describing or such.
11. How do I link the Flash enter button to my webpage in a Flash intro?
To link the Flash enter to your webpage with a Flash intro from Flash4D v4.4 (the program with the light blue background), try this:
1. Obtain a free trial of Flash4D from (
www.introwizard.com/downloads/flash4d.php ).
2. Install and open the trial software.
3. Select a design and then customize it with your own text.
4. Where it says 'Page to Show After the Design' type in the full location to your webpage you would like the Flash to be linked too. For example, you can type: http://www.YourWebsiteExampleName.com/main.html
5. Create the Flash intro and locate the Flash intro files on your desktop in a new folder. You will need to rename your current index.html page to something like main.html so that you can copy the Flash intro files to the folder on your computer that has your website files.
Once the created Flash intro files from your desktop have been copied to your website folder, you can put all the website files online and go view your intro! It should come up first, and then you can click enter and you will be directed to your Home Page which is now called main.html.
12. Does Flash4D support unicode?
Flash4D does not support unicode, but does however support characters based in Arial font (such as English, Spanish, Italian, etc.).
Although Flash4D does have a 'Use your own font' feature for text in case you would like to have the text you typed created in a text font you may have.
13. When I enter in copyright text in the Copyright box, it doesn't appear, how can I fix this?
When you enter a copyright message in the Copyright Text box, you can include HTML such as Your Copyright Message, without the your text may appear to not show up, but it is still there, it just is the same color as the background of the intro (black).
If you change the intro background color from the Customize window, you will see your Copyright text appear on your intro webpage. You can simply add an html tag like this:
Copyright YourName 2004 to have your copyright message appear in red text.
This blending in with the background can also occur with the Skip Intro button link. Change the background color on the main details part of the customization window if this becomes an issue.
14. Can Flash4D be setup to have customers create their own CD presentations online?
Currently Flash4D cannot be setup to have cusotmers create their own CD presentations online as Flash4D works as a software application and is intended to be used by the person who purchased the software rather than the customers of the person who purchased the software. If you are interested in having your customers use Flash4D to design their own intros, please consider purchasing additional copies of Flash4D for them as gifts or ask to bill them for the cost of the software if they would like it.
You can purchase Flash4D here.
